Current Opportunities

Museum London is seeking passionate contract Artist Educators to work with our Programs team on a casual, contract basis. Working closely with the Curator of Engagement and Outreach, you’ll design and lead hands-on art activities, workshops, and classes inspired by our exhibitions, collections, and regional histories. Programs may be delivered in-person or virtually and will engage diverse audiences across ages and abilities.

Scope of Work

  • Develop and lead creative, inclusive art-based experiences for children, youth, and adults.
  • Collaborate with Museum London staff to deliver engaging public programs and activities.
  • Draw from exhibitions, civic celebrations, and local histories as inspiration for activities.]
  • Support community learning and connection through art.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience teaching or facilitating art activities in museums, classrooms, or community settings.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
  • A passion for fostering creativity, confidence, and inclusivity.
  • Familiarity with a range of artistic and craft techniques, materials, and experimental practices.
  • A commitment to representing diverse perspectives, including Indigenous, Black, Disability, and LGBTQIA+ histories.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work within budget.

Hours: Scheduled on an as-needed basis in conjunction with the needs of the Curator of Engagement and Outreach.

Location: In-person, based in London, Ontario
